Helsinki Airport sits in HSL zone C; the central station is zone A. An AB city ticket will not cover the airport train. Buy an ABC single or a day ticket that includes C in the HSL app or by tapping contactless on the reader. Inspectors do not care that you 'almost' had the right zones.

The ferry from Kauppatori to the sea fortress is ordinary HSL, same AB city ticket as a tram. You do not buy a separate tourist boat for the island hop. Activate the ticket before you board; there is no conductor selling fares on the water.

Löyly and Allas put you on the water. Kotiharju is the old walk-in in town. Lonna is a short ferry from the Market Square with a public room and a restaurant. Book the design houses; the neighbourhood ones still run first-come.
