Read the hire-car contract before a Green Line idea
Some agreements restrict where the car may go. Crossing on foot with a passport is a different question from driving a Republic-registered car. Check both, current, not from a 2018 comment.
Nicosia to Paphos: euros, UK-style plugs, left-side driving, Troodos, and what changes when you reach the Green Line.
eSIMs seguras, eficazes e privadas em todo o mundo
Cyprus is an east-Mediterranean island that drives on the left, pays in euros in the Republic, and still has a UN buffer — the Green Line — running through Nicosia. You can walk from Ledra Street's coffee shops to a crossing if your documents and the current rules allow it. Do not treat that as a souvenir stamp stop you invented from a reel. Check the latest crossing requirements for your passport and your rental-car contract before you queue.
Paphos and the west are tombs, a harbour, and package hotels. Troodos is stone villages, wine, and a jacket in the same week you swam. Larnaca is the airport many people actually use and a salt lake when the flamingos decide to visit. Ayia Napa is a different holiday. Halloumi is not a joke menu item. A commandaria glass in the hills is.
Greek is the Republic's everyday language. Turkish is used in the north. English is widespread in tourism. Type G sockets will please anyone who packed for the UK and confuse everyone who packed for Greece. August inland heat is serious. Shoulder months are when the island is a car trip instead of a sunbed queue. A Cyprus-only eSIM is not a Turkey eSIM and not a 'whole island regardless of plan fine print' promise.

Villages, painted churches, wine. It is not a detour between beach bars. Give it a night if you came for more than a harbour.
The UK driving kit applies. Mountain roads are narrow. A scooter fantasy from Rhodes does not map onto a Troodos pass.
Order it as a meze with lemon. The supermarket branded pack is a different product. Sunday lunch in the hills is the syllabus.
The salt lake works when the birds are there. Do not build a day around a photo you saw in February if you are visiting in August.

Paphos beaches run rocky and shelly underfoot. If the holiday is about lying down, look at Protaras and Ayia Napa, not the Aphrodite-rock postcard.

The club strip is a small, seasonal pocket. Couples stay on Nissi and the quieter streets and never see it — especially once October empties the dance floors.

Some hire contracts restrict it. Crossing on foot with a passport is a different question. Check the current rules and the contract — not a reel. An eSIM does not change either.
Only if the plan lists coverage on that side. Ledra Street is a short walk. The network contract may stop at the line. Read the plan list.
LCA has shops. An eSIM means the first left-side roundabout is a map, not a queue after a night flight.
Villages are usually fine. Forest valleys and some painted-church roads dip. Download an offline map for a full mountain day.
Only if the plan lists those countries. Paphos to Athens is a flight. A Cyprus-only eSIM is not an Aegean pass.
Planos eSIM
Left-side rental cars, a Paphos tomb ticket and a Nicosia walking map all want data at LCA or PFO. A Cyprus eSIM is online without a kiosk that opens after you have already missed the first roundabout.
Install it before you fly. If you plan to cross the Green Line, read whether the plan lists coverage on both sides. The street is close. The contract may not be.
