Visitors pay a single on the bus with cash or contactless, or buy an Explore / multi-day visitor card at a sales office. Night and Tallinja Direct routes are a different fare. Do not stand at the driver arguing that your cousin rides free.

Foot passengers on the Ċirkewwa–Mġarr boat typically pay the return at Mġarr, not when they leave Malta. Buses 41 and 44 are the long ride from Valletta to the quay; Gozo’s own buses start again at the other terminal. A Tallinja day card is buses, not automatically the ferry. Summer Blue Lagoon boats are a different, earlier queue.
