Grand Cayman: Cayman dollars, USD accepted, left-side driving, stingrays, and data for dive boats and grocery runs.
Bezpieczne, skuteczne i prywatne eSIM-y na całym świecie
The Cayman Islands are a British Overseas Territory that prices groceries like a finance centre that also has a reef. Grand Cayman is the island most visitors mean: Seven Mile Beach, George Town when a cruise ship is alongside, and West Bay's quieter condos. Little Cayman and Cayman Brac are the trip if you came to dive walls, not to shop duty-free rum cake.
You drive on the left. A rental car is how the island works once you leave the hotel strip. The Cayman dollar is stronger than the US dollar; USD is accepted almost everywhere and the change math is a local sport. Stingray City is a sandbar with a script. Go on a smaller boat if you can, and do not stand on coral because a reel told you to.
English is the language. Hurricane season is on the calendar. Tap water is desalinated and fine. Public buses exist and are not how most short-stay visitors move after dark. The Sister Islands have a different pace and thinner everything — including last-minute grocery options. Book the inter-island hop as part of the plan, not as a whim at the hotel desk.

Seven Mile restaurants add up. A supermarket shop in the first hour resets the week. Roundabouts are the national sport.
The sandbar is real. The cattle-boat version is a queue in the water. Book a quieter operator and listen when they say do not grab the animals.
The dollar is stronger than USD. Watch the till. Paying in USD is fine; counting as if it were Miami is how the week gets expensive twice.
If you wanted a quiet harbour walk, go when the ships have sailed. Seven Mile is a different crowd the same day.
Flights are small and weather-sensitive. If you came to dive Bloody Bay, give it nights, not a same-day return fantasy.

Traffic is on the left, and a left-hand-drive rental puts you on the kerb side when you pull out of a junction. Regulars ask for a right-hand-drive car so the driver sits next to oncoming traffic. George Town’s morning inflow from the north and east is the other surprise, not the roundabouts.

The desks sit a short walk off arrivals, including local names as well as the brands. Cars disappear in high season, so the booking is the arrival plan. Photograph the scratches with the agent before you leave the lot.

For anything beyond the hotel strip, yes — and you drive on the left. Data for maps and roundabouts matters from the rental lot at Owen Roberts.
You can buy one. An eSIM means the dive-boat WhatsApp and the grocery map are already up before you reach Seven Mile.
Thinner than George Town. Download offline maps and screenshot the dive shop's meeting point before you fly the hop.
Some plans include it; many add a daily fee that looks like a second dinner. Check first. If the Caymans are not included, a travel eSIM is the calmer week.
Maps, WhatsApp to operators and photos are a modest habit. Hotel Wi-Fi covers the evening. A mid-size plan is enough unless you hotspot a laptop every afternoon.
Plany eSIM
Dive-boat times, a Hertz counter and a map of left-side roundabouts all want data at Owen Roberts. A Cayman Islands eSIM is online before you reach the rental lot, without a tourist-SIM detour.
Install it before you fly. Grand Cayman 4G covers WhatsApp to the operator and grocery maps. Download offline maps if you fly to the Sister Islands — coverage is thinner and the last shop closes earlier than you think.
